Bend Oregon has created a great marketing idea combined with great breweries, they call the Bend Ale Trail. They even have an App to help you complete it. Download the App “Bend Ale Trail” and visit participating breweries and scan the QR Code at each one. Once you have been to at least 10 breweries, go to the Visitor’s Center and collect your prize, and get your picture taken, proof also you completed the Trail and share with friends.
Our Ale Trail was spread out over 2 days, of course we had to sample the beer along the way. Here are some of the breweries we visited this weekend:
Deschutes Public House, where we enjoyed their succulent “Bleu Belly Burger” paired with a pint of their Seasonal Twilight Summer beer.
Silver Moon was a pleasant surprise, wasn’t much to look at on the outside, but on the inside, fantastic beer!
A lively fun stop where you can purchase tastes and growler fills. They have great merch too!
Crux Brewery, what amazing views, you have to visit to see for yourself! A great place to stop for lunch, too bad we didn’t know before we ate!! Great beer, not a bad one yet, I see a trend with Bend!
Oh the Good Life, had to try the sample tray, a great stop, they host small concerts as well, if you visit you may luck out on a day they have one! Rock on!
Downstairs at McMenamin’s Old St. Francis Brewery, Restaurant and Hotel, not only did we enjoy the beer here, love the Hammerhead! But we stayed here for the weekend as well, a great place to stay, within walking distance to town, comfortable rooms and a great soaking pool! A must stay!
East of town, Worthy Brewing, a huge facility, well worth the stop. Ha, worth the stop at Worthy! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, great beer, lots of merch to purchase and great food. Even though slightly off the beaten path, you definitely shouldn’t miss this brewery!
I’ll keep the prize secret, but even if you don’t complete the Bend Ale Trail, you will have great beer and food where you visit!
